Hello Holland Elementary Parents,
The content below contains important information about many activities coming up at school. All of them are great opportunities for children and their families, but I'd like to draw your attention to pieces about the Science Fair, Tricky Tray, and Kindergarten Registration. You've likely seen this information before, but they're all significant activities for our school, and I want to make sure that all families are aware of procedures and deadlines. Thanks.
HES Science Fair

- Parent Permission Slip
- Parent Reference Document

- Display Board Guidelines
- Science Fair Rules
Tri-fold boards can be picked up in the office, and please note that permission slips are due to school by February 27th.
PTO Tricky Tray
Tricky Tray will be on February 24th and 25th. Every family that donates a tray will receive a free sheet of tickets!
Below you'll find links to information about the event along with a breakdown of the ticket prices:
Tricky Tray Ticket Price Breakdown
Tray Options:
- Make your own tray. Decide on a theme, for example, dinner and a movie with movie tickets and restaurant gift card, Shopkins with a few sets and maybe a stuffed toy, Legos, sports with a football and baseball, health and beauty, Game Night, the Book Lover, etc. Decorate your tray with tissue paper. Cover with clear cellophane and tie with a ribbon and return to school on February 21st or 22nd.
- Order from our Amazon wish list. Go to Amazon. Click on your lists. Write katey_levin@yahoo.com where it says find wish list. This will open the tricky tray wish list. Choose your items and pay for them. They will ship to the committee and we will wrap your tray. Email us to let us know that you ordered so we can get you your sheet of tickets.
- Call or go to The Learning Express in Newtown or Richboro. Tell them you are shopping for Tricky Tray and how much you would like to spend. They will help you choose your items and they will wrap it. You can either bring your tray home or we will come and pick it up from the store.
Trays will be coming home with your youngest child on Friday, February 10th.
The PTO is also looking for volunteers to help wrap trays, set up, staff the event and clean up. Please click here to access the sign-up form and enter passcode "tricky": Tricky Tray Volunteer Sign Up
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the organizers listed below as they would be happy to walk you through the steps of making your tray!

District Art Show T-Shirt:
Orders are now being taken to purchase this year's t-shirt for the Council Rock Art Show. All proceeds from the sales of t-shirts will benefit the Catharine T. Maynard Visual Arts Scholarship! Orders are due to Mrs. Aubuchon by Thursday, March 2nd. Forms can be found HERE.
Clothing Needed
Our school nurse is hoping that parents would be able to make donations of new girls/boys underwear and gently used girls/boys elastic banded pants. Sometimes, these items are needed at school, and having these items available is another way that we can take care of children. Thank you.
Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Holland Elementary School believes in the importance of teaching children about the richness of different cultures and groups. A new committee is forming, The Diversity and Inclusion Committee, in order to celebrate the students differences and prepare them for the diversity of the world. The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is seeking volunteers to join the committee. The committee seeks to recognize and draw on the talents of our parents, students, teachers, and community. If you are interested in joining or learning more about the committee, please email Lori Perusich at loriperusich@gmail.com.
Online Absence Form
I'm pleased to let parents know that we now have an online absence form for parents to use if their child misses school. It's very simple to use and provides a quick way to document a child's absence without sending a written note in a backpack. The link can be found on the left side of the Holland Elementary School homepage, and it's call "Online Absence Reporting."
