A Note From Mrs. Waters
Next Wednesday after school and Thursday morning are parent-teacher conferences. Please be sure you have signed up and arrive at your scheduled time. The conferences are twenty minutes long are are back to back, so if you are late, we will not be able to extend your conference.
Your child's book bag goes home Sunday with their weekly homework and a class book. The book bag should be brought back each night so that your child can take another book from our classroom library to read at home. If your child does not return his/her book that he/she borrowed from the class, then he/she won't be taking home another book until it is returned. We need to be sure to get the books back. Book bags won't go home on Tuesday because the students have library and have those "new" books to read. Your child should return his completed homework on Thursday.
We are beginning a new reading unit next week, Readers Tackle Trouble as Word Detectives. Also next week, we will begin our first Science unit, Earth Materials .Please read the attached unit letters.
