*ONLINE COURSES FOR TEACHERS THROUGH CANVAS - There are some new online courses for technology through the technology canvas course. If you do not already have their course on your dashboard, here are the directions for you:
***Log into Canvas, click on help, choose CISD Professional Development, Technology, Instructional Technology, Instructional Technology (again), then Online courses for credit. There are 10 courses you can choose from to participate in.
*SHELLIE WINKLER VISIT - Shellie will be here on Tuesday afternoon visiting our campus and walking classrooms.
*SPRING CREEK BBQ NIGHT - Tuesday is Spring Creek BBQ Night. Please make an effort to attend
*PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT - Remember that Thursday night is Parent Information Night from 6-7:30 p.m. Make sure you are reminding and inviting parents to attend. We will meet in the Cafeteria at 6:00 for introductions and then I'll talk to them for about 20 minutes. We will break for session #1 to start approximately 6:30-6:55 and Session #2 will be 7:00 - 7:25. Watch for an email for information that you need to make sure and include in your conversations.
*WALKTHROUGHS - We have officially started doing walkthroughs. We will try and leave notes for you when we leave (if I remember to bring sticky notes with me). Otherwise, walkthroughs will be posted in Eduphoria within 48 hours of the walkthrough. There is nothing to sign when it's a walkthrough. However, if you have questions, please let Kara or I know.
*POSTER METHOD FRIDAY - This Friday is Poster Method Friday. We will wandering that day to see what is going on! Looking forward to hearing and seeing some great conversations.
*T-TESS/SLO GOALS - This week we will be finalizing our T-TESS goals. I've enjoyed listening to conversations about SLOs and T-TESS goals this week!
*STORYBOOK CHARACTER PARADE/EARLY RELEASE DAY - Make sure you help me remind parents about storybook character and early release day. That is October 5!
*PROJECTORS - If you are not in your room and/or not using your projector, please remember to turn it off and save the light bulb usage. We've had these projectors for about 4 years now and I expect we will start seeing bulbs going out before too long and we want to make them last as long as we can.
*JEANS PURCHASE - If you have coupons from last year, they can be used through the month of September (no more than 1 a week). If you want to purchase 1 more jeans day a week, you may do so through Kathie G. It is $5 per day or $20 for the month. Note that you may only wear jeans 1 extra day a week and you must wear a "dressy" top with them and no tennis shoes
*TEAM HUDDLES this week will be Monday - Specials and Tuesday - Sepcial Ed. I look forward to meeting with you all. If you can meet me by the "golden tree" around 7:25, that would be great!
