Music in the 20's
Doing the Roaring Twenties Jazz music was most influenced. It started at the end of World War I until the start of the Great Depression , mainly because they were harsh moments. African Americans had an amazing influence due to the availability of these recordings to white, upper middle class listener.
Jazz and Its Artists
Jazz recordings were often called "race records," and were sold and played only in the black neighborhoods of large cities like New York and Chicago. Mening the artists were too from these areas and knew their fanbase. Artist such as King Oliver, Luis Armstrong, Kid Ory, and Duke Elington shaped Jazz and set the stage for the future of jazz and culture of music.
