Strong Showing Of #VikingPride On Display During Homecoming 2015

Homecoming Week 2015 was a huge success. The week included spirit days, powder puff football, a pep assembly, the homecoming football game, and the homecoming dance on Saturday night. It was a week that saw great crowds of students, parents, staff, community members, and Viking fans supporting the many events that took place on campus. Thank you to all in the FHHS community that help to make the week such a memorable one. You can enjoy pictures and video of the weeks events below.

Record Crowd Attends Homecoming Game; Vikings Win 42-7

Coming off the largest crowd of the season at First Responders Night on 9/11 the students, parents, fans, and community did not disappoint on Friday night as nearly 4500 fans saw the football program win 42-7 over FHC. The #2 state ranked Vikings moved to 7-0 on the season. They will play their final game of the regular season this Friday at home as they take on Troy,

Tennis Wins District Championship

Congratulations to Lady Vikings Tennis on their District Championship win this week! They will travel to Marquette on Saturday at 9 a.m. to face off against the Mustangs in the State Sectionals. Come out and support our Lady Vikings on Saturday as they look to continue their run in post season play.

Band Has Successful Saturday At FZN River City Classic

If you have been on campus and at FHHS events you have probably seen the increased enthusiasm and school spirit that our band has brought to the 15-16 school year. The band continues to build on this success and Saturday had a very strong showing at the FZN River City Classic. The band took 1st place in their division and won best general effect. In the finals the band went on to a 5th place finish. Congratulations to our band members, Mr. Miller, and his staff for a great showing at the River City Classic.

Lady Vikings Volleyball Wins Pirate Classic

Congratulations to the Varsity Lady Vikings Volleyball Team on their Pattonville Pirate Classic tournament championship on Saturday. Our Lady Vikings went 5-0 on the day with wins over Rosati Kain, Pattonville, Webster, FHC, and Kirkwood. Congratulations to Jessica Hedrick and Kennedy Cordia for making the All-Tournament Team. Our #4 state ranked and #85 nationally ranked Lady Vikings moved to 26-3 on the season with the tournament wins.

Cross Country Excels At Parkway West Invitational

The cross country program took part in the Parkway West Invitational on Saturday. It was a great day for several levels of the program as well as for many individuals. Below you can find a recap of the day's results. The cross country program will be back in action on Thursday at McNair Park as FHHS hosts the GAC South XC Meet.

Varsity Boys- Walker Wetter finished 14th.

Varsity Girls- Finished in 4th place as a team. Maddi Leigh (4th), Lizzy Payne (27th), and Brooklyn Just (28th) all medaled.

Freshman/Sophomore Girls Team- Finished 1st as a team. Izzy Daab (1st) Chloe Figgins (3rd) Erin Gilbert (4th) Danielle Robinson (11th) and Nora Stith (16th) all medaled.

Swim Has Strong Saturday At FZN Invitational

The swim program continues to build on their success as the season goes on. On Saturday they competed in the Fort Zumwalt North Invitational. The Viking Swim program turned in some great performances overall including two state qualifying times by Mason Hart. Pink Out FB Set For Oct. 9th; 101 ESPN To Be On Campus

This coming Friday, October 9th FHHS will host it's annual Pink Out football game as the #2 ranked 7-0 Vikings take on Troy. Fans are encouraged to come out and not only support the Vikings but to support the cause to help find a cure for cancer. Many activities will take place during the game. Fans can purchase the official Pink Out t-shirt during lunch this week for just $10.

In addition on Friday night 101 ESPN will have their street team on campus from 5-7pm in front of the stadium. Viking fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the activities sponsored by 101 ESPN. Stop by before kick-off for opportunities to win great 101ESPN prizes including t-shirts and footballs or tickets to an upcoming football game! The 101ESPN event is presented by Allstate by Tracie Bibb, Verizon, and Vatterott College.

Schneidenbach Earns Emerson Award Nomination

Congratulations to FHHS Emerson Award nominee Susan Schneidenbach! Not only is Mrs. Schneidenbach doing great things in the classroom but she is also the sponsor of the French Club and an Assistant Scholar Bowl Coach. Mrs. Scheidenbach is a great example of an FHHS teacher making an impact and engaging students in the classroom and in activities.

Mary Emily Bryan M.S. Spirit & Dance Teams Perform At FHHS

The Mary Emily Bryan Middle School Spirit and Dance Team programs performed at halftime of the freshman football game versus Timberland on September 28th. The two groups helped cheer on our freshman Vikings football program to a 42-13 win. A big thank you to the two programs for performing. We look forward to seeing these young ladies in the blue and gold soon!

Winter Meet The Coachs Scheduled For 10/21

On Wednesday, October 21st the winter "Meet the Coaches" night will be held in the FHHS commons. All winter student-athletes and parents are required to attend this meeting. Student-athletes should turn in all eligibility paperwork during this time. All completed paperwork must be turned in by October 30th at noon to ensure participation on November 2nd when winter sports begin. You can find all eligibility paperwork by clicking this link - . All freshman, juniors, and new students to FHSD in basketball, wrestling, and winterguard must have an updated Impact test completed to participate. Impact testing dates can be found below as well as the schedule for the Meet the Coaches night:
