Ring Leader Tidbits
~ We made it to December!! Can you believe it!?! We have a fun month planned for you, so I'm excited to get the holidays started!!
~ Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Literacy Night! We are excited to watch 2nd grade and Hoofbeats perform, then we will kick off the Literacy Night activities at 6:00! Jonas has agreed to be Santa, so we are happy that we can continue that tradition! Thanks to Ashley and Evelyn for everything they have done to help organize it, and shout out to Vicki for all of her hard work getting 2nd grade and Hoofbeats ready for the performance!
~ This Friday is our holiday feast with families! Make sure to turn the RSVP slips into Laura, as we are keeping a count that we will turn into Brandy on Wednesday! There wasn't a price listed on the flyer that went home, so if parents ask, the price is $3.50 for an adult meal. They will need to bring cash and go through a separate line. The students will still be able to go through the main line and use their account.
~ This Thursday, we will kick off something new this year! We are doing the "12 Days of Christmas" (Elkins style) for the staff! Each day, leading up to break, there will be a special treat for you all, the greatest staff on earth! We will begin on Thursday, and an announcement will come Wednesday evening (make sure to check Remind) to let you know what we have in store for you! We hope you enjoy the fun and that you look forward to each day to see what fun treat you will receive!

~ It's tiime for our November Elks of the Month. Please send the names and the forms to Lilly by this Wednesday, and we will get them announced and hung on the walls this week! Remember, the character traits that we were looking for this month all have to do with responsibility (problem solving, health/wellness, resiliency, self- improvement, etc.)
~ Please make sure and notify parents of the time change for the holiday parties. Parties will start at 10:00 am. Make sure to remember that you cannot compete with lunch, so we cannot order pizza, etc.
~ The book fair is open all week this week! It will be open during Literacy Night tomorrow, as well, so make sure to have students stop by!!
~ Don't forget to hang your stockings and fill them with warm fuzzies, treats, notes, etc. This is always a fun gift to get to "open" as we leave for the holidays!
~ Starting on December 10th, we will start our Elk on the Shelf fun! For those new to campus and as a refresher to everyone's memory, here are the rules:
1. The Elk is hidden.
2. The person who finds the Elk takes a selfie and emails the staff.
3. The person receives a $10 gift card!
4. The person hides the elk again (at the end of the day) to be found the next day. Be creative and make it difficult!! Don't hide it in plain site!!
ONLY ONE WINNER PER DAY!! Please don't hide until the end of the day in order to prevent multiple findings in one day!!
~ With a new month, comes new character traits that we will be focusing on in Positive Action, guidance lessons with Tammie, and looking for to pick our Elks of the Month. The new traits are listed below.
