From the Principal
Dear Fryelands Families,
Fall 2021 Kindergarten Registration is OPEN NOW.
You may register online by going to: https://www.monroe.wednet.edu/about/register-for-school.

Medical condition or Covid symptoms?
Some of our students are exhibiting symptoms of Covid that may actually be related to seasonal or medical conditions, such as allergies or asthma. In order for your child to be able to come to school they need to be symptom free. However, in some cases, they could return to school if you obtain a note from your child's doctor with a diagnosis and symptoms that are related to their medical condition. Otherwise, your child will need to stay out for the required Snohomish County Health Department quarantine time. Students may return earlier than the 10 days if they get a negative Covid test while the student is symptomatic. If you have questions, please call our school nurse or health room assistant for more information.
Fryelands Reading Challenge is starting April 19th-May 25th
The Paper Bookshelf Needs Books...here’s what you do...
Read a Book
Color in a Book Template
Write the Author & Title
Turn it into Mrs. Capone (in our library)
It will then be put on the shelf for all to see
Receive an entry into a drawing for a BIG prize at the end of May
Every book adds another entry into the drawing for each student
Thank you again for all of your flexibility and grace as we continue on this journey. Thank you for bringing your students to in-person school on time and prepared for learning each day. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at presleyj@monroe.wednet.edu or at 360-804-3400.
Sincerely,
Jeff Presley

Is your student attending school on a transfer?
The deadline for families to turn in transfer requests is quickly approaching. Families living outside the Monroe School District requesting a Choice Transfer (out of district) or families living within the Monroe School District requesting an Intra-District Transfer (in-district) for their child to attend a school outside of their neighborhood attendance area must complete forms to renew their transfers. This includes incoming kindergarten students. The deadline to turn in these forms to be considered for the 2021-2022 school year is Friday, April 16th. Forms received by this date will be reviewed and processed no later than April 30th. Families will be notified sometime in May for requests received by the April 16th deadline. Late forms may not be considered until August.
As a reminder, all transfer forms must be renewed each year. A separate form is required for each child requesting a transfer. Forms are available online by going to https://www.monroe.wednet.edu/about/register-for-school/transfer-requests. Paper copies can be obtained at any of our school buildings or at the Monroe School District Administration Building located at 14692 179th Ave SE in Monroe. For specific questions regarding transfers, please call the District Office at (360) 804-2573. For general enrollment questions, please contact the school office.
