Where Are Crossing Guards Needed?

The Safe Routes to School work group will be reviewing requests for school crossing guards this spring. March 4 is the deadline to let the city staff know you’d like to see a crossing guard in a certain location. To make a request, please complete the following form: https://arcg.is/0jqTLK. If you’d like to support efforts to encourage more students to walk, bike, and wheel at your school, please reach out to Laura McCulloch, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health community health equity specialist, at saferoutes@ldchealth.org.

Annual Registration is HERE!

Annual Registration was sent out the district office this week. This is how you enroll your student for school next year, whether they will be at Broken Arrow or attend a different Lawrence school. If you plan to move out of district and will not be in USD497, please mark that on the update.

If a parent has not received notification for Annual Registration, please let Mrs Walthall know and she can help get that information to you or the parent with the PowerSchool access.

BA Family Bravos!

Click HERE if you want to submit a Broken Arrow Family Bravo for a staff member who has made a difference to your child and family! I cannot tell you how much your kind words and hearing that we are making a difference would mean to the staff! Every staff member who has received one has shared how much it has meant to them!

Mrs. Moeckel - She has truly helped, stayed and focused on every challenge that my son has had since coming back into the school district. She is truly an inspiration and very compassionate. I honestly don't know if he would have the help he needs if it was not for her. She truly is one of those teachers that are very hard to come by.

Mrs. Moeckel and Mrs. Bollig - Both teachers have such a strong rapport with the kids. They make learning fun! Both of my kids look forward to school because of them. Thank you!
