If you need a transcript for your records, please request one to be sent to yourself through Parchment.
Summer School Registration is Now Open through June 6
HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL
Students enrolled in Original Credit and Credit Recovery will work from home in an online setting. All coursework and exams are due to be completed by July 29, 2021. Students who do not complete their coursework by the district deadline will be required to start the course over. In order to gain credit for a full year’s course, students must complete both semesters of work. In order to receive credit for the course, students must complete 100% of the course and score at least a 70% as an overall grade grade for each semester.
ORIGINAL CREDIT
High school students (students who have completed 8th grade) who want to accelerate their learning can do so by taking online courses for original credit through a web-based curriculum. Course work is online with the student working independently in a self-paced format. All semester exams will be taken in a supervised setting at the student’s high school campus. Students are expected to complete online work on a regular basis within the web-based program.
Per district grading guidelines, located on the NISD website, grades in original credit are awarded a numeric grade and will be factored in the student’s GPA. Students need to meet with their counselor to verify the course is needed and that it will be accepted as credit towards a student’s graduation plan.
CREDIT RECOVERY
Students who have failed a semester course are able to make up this class by successful completion of the course. The course is online, self-paced, with teachers who closely monitor student progress and assist students as needed. All semester exams will be taken in a supervised setting at the student’s high school campus.
Grades in credit recovery are awarded in the form of a P (Pass) or F (Fail). For further information on promotion, retention, and credit see the Secondary Guidelines located on the NISD website.

Registration Volunteers are required to complete additional Civil Rights online training program prior to the event during your own time. This online training takes approximately 30 minutes and link will be sent to you after you sign up.
