ANNUAL ERWIN POETRY EXHIBITION

IT IS TIME TO PREPARE YOUR POEMS!
Students are invited to choose a poem to memorize and recite for their class and the school. Each classroom will choose two representatives to participate in the Poetry Exhibition and students who are not in the Exhibition will be invited to recite their poems for other classes. Students who would like to participate should follow the guidelines below. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Cravey.
Guildelines for entering the exhibition:
*Students may recite a poem of their choosing. It does not have to be an original work.
*Poems must be memorized – students will not be allowed to use notes or read.
*Poems should be at least two stanzas or six lines long for PreK-3rd graders, three stanzas or twelve lines long for 4th-5th graders.
*Poems must be approved by a teacher or Ms. Cravey.
*Each class may enter two students in the exhibition. Classes will hold classroom exhibitions no later than April 22 to determine which students will enter the school-wide program. Students must score at least 16 points on the evaluation rubric to enter the exhibition.
