Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences
According to the USDA, between 2015 and 2020, more jobs will be available in agricultural and food systems, renewable energy and the environment than qualified graduates to fill them. The Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the agricultural Sciences (PSEAS) meets this need by providing an intensive program of study in the agricultural sciences which combines classroom, laboratory and field-based instruction with a research based service learning component.
Academically talented high school students who are current juniors at the time of the application deadline may apply to the Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences. Applicants are expected to demonstrate academic achievement, sustained interest in the food, agricultural, and natural resource sciences, and a record of pursuing this interest in activities beyond the classroom.
