Lynnville-Sully Schools - September 8, 2020
Message from Shane Ehresman, Superintendent
Lynnville-Sully Families,
Draft of New Multipurpose Room and Football/Track Concession Stand
There has been a lot of progress on the design of the new multipurpose room and new football/track concession stand and restroom facility (preliminary designs attached). The district anticipates breaking ground on the projects in April 2021.
Positive COVID-19 Cases Communicated to L-S Families
When the school district receives notification that a Lynnville-Sully student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, families will be notified as soon as possible. If the school district is not informed by a family or public health in a timely manner, notification of a positive case may be public before the school district is able to send out an announcement to L-S families. Please be patient and understanding during these circumstances.
Due to confidentiality laws, the school district will not be able to share the name of the individual who tested positive for COVID-19. While the district must protect the privacy of the individual involved, we believe it is best to communicate positive COVID-19 cases transparently with L-S families in order for your family to make well-informed decisions.

No Bus Rides for Unregistered Students on Daily Bus Routes or Guest Bus Passes
- There is currently assigned seats for every student registered on a bus. This is important to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and conduct contact tracing due to a positive case.
- Unregistered bus students do not have an assigned seat on daily bus routes and will not be allowed to ride a bus before or after school.
- Students will not be able to have friends ride the bus home with them.
- If you have any questions or want to register your child for a daily bus route, please contact the transportation director at chris.astelle@grinnell-k12.org or 641-236-2715.
