Chancellor News and Notes
November 6-10, 2017
November is National Gratitude Month!
Chancellor Thanksgiving Food Drive is here!
We are starting our Thanksgiving food drive this week! For the next two weeks, please bring in non-perishable donations to help out families in dire need of basic necessities such as food or toiletries. We want to help out as many families as we can! Mr. Horr, one of our counselors, has volunteered to deliver the donations. Encourage your students to donate, and please bring donations to help make this drive a success!
What are the most needed items requested by the Houston food bank? Nutritious and nonperishable foods: canned vegetables, tomatoes, beans, tuna, salmon, chicken, sardines, and fruits, whole grain pasta, quinoa, and brown rice, and salt-free seasonings.
**A staff incentive: For every donation you make, please fill out a raffle slip in my office. On the Friday before Thanksgiving, I will draw names for prizes!! I will have a donation area in my office, and we will also have a donation area set up by the fish tank, like we do every year.
Feel free to start a classroom incentive as well- each donation students could enter name into a raffle for small prizes from you!! Make it fun and remember this is for a good cause!!
