On Tuesday, April 9th, your child will be taking part in a program called "Drug Store," which is put together by Coronado SAFE and held at the Coronado Middle School.
The goal of the Drug Store Program is to engage our children to critically think about making positive, healthy lifestyle choices. The Drug Store is a dramatic, experiential program that takes students on a journey through the natural consequences of poor choices with regard to drugs and alcohol. More than 300 local sixth grade students from Coronado Middle School, Sacred Heart Parish School and Christ Church Day School go through this program. This community-wide event involves more than 100 volunteers including parents, DEA agents, police officers, EMTs, lawyers, judges, therapists, ministers, and more!
To learn more, click here to see Coronado SAFE's site about the Drug Store event.
We need your help to make this event a success! There are two ways to get involved:
- Fill out the volunteer form. Please email the form back to volunteer coordinators, Sally Harvey (zsally@hotmail.com) or Janet Thoms (janetthoms@gmail.com), or turn it into the CMS front office.
