Food in Riviera Maya is amazing. The most popular Restaurant in Playa del Carmen is Yaxche. Most cuisines consist of grain or bean based, rich, with root vegetables. The Carnibal Royal Beach Club Resort serves incredibly sweet raw shrimp, octopus, and fresh fish served in cooked lime juice. They also offer grilled octopus served with aji-panaca sauce. El Bistro offers cuisines from France, salad with mango tuna.

What you should know about Weather..

The weather in Mexico is very warm. January through March(Winter) are cooler with temps in the mid to high 70's. April through October (Spring, Summer, Fall) are the warmest months with the temps in the low to mid 80's.

US currency is widely excepted in Mexican Mayan Riviera and The Mexican Carribean. Prices are excepted in both Mexican Pesos and US dollars.

Lets talk about Transportation

If you want to get to Cancun quickly.. your going to have to fly. Now, if you don't like to fly, you could drive, but that would take a long time and I'm not going to get into hours and how long it would take. When you fly into Cancun, you would have to take a bus to your resort because more than likely your resort is far from the airport.
