MOVIE NIGHT WOOO!
WE RENTED OUT THE REEL. YES. WE RENTED OUT TEMPLE'S OWN MOVIE THEATER. And what for?!?!?!?!
This Monday at 8 pm in THE REEL (which is in the bottom floor of Student Center South, next to the Underground) we will be having a showing of the movie Cesar Chavez. This is a wonderful movie about a civil rights activist and labor organizer, so come through, bring some friends, eat some popcorn, and kick back on a Monday night while learning about some pretty cool stuff! We are so excited about this and we hope you are, too.

25th Annual Pa'Lante Banquet
The Delta Chapter of Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc. is hosting their annual Thanksgiving banquet that helps spread Latino culture through performances, music, food and awards. This is an amazing opportunity to meet more of the Latino community within the Philadelphia region, plus it's a chance to dress to the nines. ;) It will be held November 22nd at 7:30 p.m. in the ARCH auditorium of UPenn. This is the event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1578620589027466/?ref=2&ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming&sid_reminder=4534652829331095552
RSVP! (There is a separate RSVP link, don't just RSVP on the FB event page.)
Rep Yuh Flag
Don't have anything to do tonight? Go out to SOCA's party tonight! Last year, it was one of the most anticipated and lit parties of the semester, so this year is sure to be a blast, too! Come through, bring your flag, and rep where you come from.
OWL TEAM LEADER APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!
Several of you guys have been asking about joining the Owl Team for Summer 2015, which is awesome because our very own eboard member, Melonie, is a Student Coordinator. This is an amazing opportunity and while it is a huge time commitment and calls for extreme dedication, it is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. (Having an on-campus job is extremely beneficial, so look out for other opportunities, too!) You can find applications at this link: http://www.temple.edu/studentaffairs/orientation/owl-team/
We are AdEL
AdEL stands for “Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos”. We are the Latino umbrella organization on campus. We have various groups that are "under us" such as the dance group (Esencia Latina), Latino Greeks, and many more. Not exclusive to just Latinos, we invite everyone and anyone of any race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Our mission is to enhance awareness of Latino issues and heritage in the Temple University community; to provide forum for Latino students; to advocate for issues that have a direct impact on the Latino student body specifically and the Temple community in general; to provide support and resources to the Latino campus community; to facilitate and promote communication among members, to sponsor activities and events that ensure AdEL`s purpose; and to collaborate with other organizations within and outside of Temple University.
