Monroe Elementary News

From the Principal
We had a great number of families attend our Literacy/Math Night on Thursday this past week. Thank you to all who were able to attend. I hope that you were able to play some learning games with your child that you can also play at home. Our fourth grade students also did an amazing job at their recorder concert that same night as well. I have included some pictures below.
Fourth grade parents- please notice that their is information about Canaan Middle School as well as the school supply list.
We are still in great need for parent volunteers for field day. Please consider signing up. You can join us for half of the day or the entire day if your schedule allows.
Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day!

Our 4th grade students from both Monroe and Plain City will be visiting Canaan Middle School on May 12. Students will take a tour, learn about the opportunity to participate in band and hear about a typical school day at Canaan Middle School. Also, this summer, families will have the opportunity to visit CMS. As we prepare for your child to transition to Canaan Middle School we spend time learning about your child and their needs from our Elementary staff. If you feel your child needs additional support in place for their transition you may contact Marianna Hein heinma@japioneers.org (Guidance Counselor) or Matt Keller kellerma@japioneers.org (Principal). We look forward to welcoming the Jonathan Alder graduating class of 2030 to Canaan Middle School next fall.
Thank you to Mr. Maynard!!
Thank you Mr. Maynard for all of your work at Monroe Elementary. We wish you the best on your future.
