A Note From the Principal
Thank you to everyone who came out to make our Black History Month program a success. It was nice to see so many families celebrating our scholars.
Re-enrollment is now underway. Please ensure you submit your intent to re-enroll through either the link in this newsletter, at PIT Day, or through the re-enrollment packets coming home. This Wednesday is our spring Parents In Touch (PIT) Day. Scholars will be learning remotely while teachers meet with families.
Please continue to encourage your scholar to be prepared and on time for class. Encourage them to read 20 minutes a day and to be actively engaged in class. We appreciate every effort as we work together in the development of your scholar.
Scholars First,
Mr. Carrion
PIT Day
This will be a remote learning day for scholars. No in person instruction will take place on Wednesday. Packets will be sent home on Tuesday that are expected to be returned on Thursday. These packets will be taken for a grade and attendance purposes. Failure to return the packet will result in your scholar receiving a zero and being marked with an unexcused absence.

Be on the lookout for pictures from the event in next week's newsletter.
We had many requests for the GVP Scholars Matter shirts the staff was wearing. These will be available for purchase at PIT Day on Wednesday!
IREAD

Mask Policy
Please ensure that your scholar(s) comes to school each day with two masks, one properly fitted on their face upon arrival to school and an extra mask in their backpack for emergency use. Scholars that arrive at school without a mask will not be permitted to exit vehicles for temperature checks or enter our building. Masks should fit snugly over the nose, mouth, and chin. We will no longer be providing disposal masks for scholars except in the event of an extreme emergency.
No Visitor Policy
Due to the highly transmissible COVID-19 Omicron variant, we will be implementing a NO visitor policy at our school campus until further notice. We are strongly committed to keeping the health and safety of our scholars, families, faculty, and staff our top priority. All parent meetings and conferences will be held via phone or video calls. In the event that your scholar(s) arrive late to school or need to be picked up early please call and notify our front office administrator of the event. We will accommodate extreme emergencies and extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
