From the Desk of Principal Fears

Greetings Fugett Families,

National Gratitude Month in November encourages us to embrace the power of gratitude.

Gratitude is more than simply saying “thank you.” Gratitude’s amazing powers have the ability to shift us from focusing on the negative to appreciating what is positive in our lives. Take a moment to consider what you are grateful for!

Please read below for important information about the upcoming weeks at Fugett Middle School.

Have an awesome day!

Hello from the Fugett PTO!

The Cougar Cause: West Chester Food Cupboard

This month, the PTO will begin its donation collection to help support the West Chester Food Cupboard. Please consider purchasing items in need and having your student place the donation in the blue bin marked “Food Cupboard”, located at the cafeteria entrance. Items most needed are: diapers, feminine products, cereal, toothpaste, deodorant, canned meat and fish, and canned fruit. There is an abundance of canned vegetables right now, but those are always welcome as well. Any items that you can spare are always gratefully accepted. We will continue this much needed service throughout the year. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Questions? Concerns? Comments? Contact us at FugettPTO@gmail.com

Fugett PTO is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All donations to the PTO are fully tax-deductible.

West Chester Communities that Care Event

Your West Chester CTC is here to support the needs of youth and parents/caregivers in our community. Coming up on November 19th, we are partnering with the CCIU to host a Free Marketing for Mental Health event for middle schoolers in the area.

Youth will learn about building resilience in themselves through challenge, creativity and purpose. After learning some marketing basics and using all three of these resilience principles, participants will brainstorm design ideas for a real world application of their ideas such as a bulletin board for their school, a billboard for their community or a graphic design to share on social media. With the knowledge they learn they will create designs to impact their peers and encourage healthy choices.

Students from West Chester Area schools will be encouraged to use WCCTC funds to turn their ideas into a poster for their schools and connect with school counselors or principals for permission to display their pro mental health messages.
