Digital citizenship is what you need to follow online. This includes Digital Etiquette, Information Privacy, plagiarism and many more. Following these rules is very important. By following these rules it can make being online safer and better. It can stop you from being cyberbullied and getting sued. These rules help be a nice person and to keep you safe online.
Rule 1: Digital Etiquette
Kindness
If you are online and you are about to say something mean, think about if you would say that to a person in real life.
Rule 2: Information Privacy
Do not post/share everything
You should not share any personal information like where you live and credit card number online.
Rule 3: Social Networking
Learn about the site
When you sign up for a social website you should learn about the site more to make sure that it does not have a virus.

Don't fight back
If you are being cyberbullied don't fight back, they are just trying to get a reaction out of you, the best thing to do is tell a adult.
Rule 6: Plagiarism
Give credit
If you have a book report or any project and you got information from a site you should make sure you put it in your own words or give credit to the author.
Rule 7: Copyright
Get their word
If you want to sell a movie, art, or book that was made by someone else you need their word that you can use it. Other wise you can be sued and need to pay money to the owner.
