Random Ruminations....
There is some flexibility in our teacher dress code next week, if you'd like to participate in the Red Ribbon Run dress days. If you'd like to participate, please do so.
Heather Thompson will be here to discuss MAP results with 2nd-4th grade teachers on Monday.
We will have a lockdown drill on Tuesday at 2PM. You will know the drill is over when Pat, Jill, or I unlock your doors with our keys. There will be no announcement over the intercom. This is how we would do it in a real lockdown; in a real lockdown incident, the police may also unlock your room and tell you that the danger has passed.
Parent/Teacher Planning is Thursday after school.
I forwarded an email to teachers on Sept. 24 at 10:10am that outlines a UNL research project that would pay you up to $125 for your work and time. You can refer to that email or contact Amanda Witte at 402-472-2490 or awitte2@unl.edu for more information.
Tweet of the Week
He writes:
Every time we walk into the school, we have the opportunity to be a bright spot in a student’s day. There’s a lot that we can’t control, and there are days that we may feel inadequate... but we can always be the reason that a kid smiles.
Nothing better than a swing with a friend
Truer words were never written
Good to be excited about stuff!
