Are You Obsessed?

The video below is from Eric Thomas "The Hip-Hop Preacher" he is a motivational speaker and I'm in love with everything he has to say! The last part of this video really hits home with me and I hope it does you as well. Please take the time to view this and then ask your self am I upgrading myself? In our staff meeting I pointed out some things we are doing to improve our school. I am obsessed with improving myself and want to surround myself with likeminded people. Yes it's difficult, yes it's hard work, and yes we owe it to our kids, but more importantly we owe it to ourselves to improve ourselves everyday! #BeALionNotAGazelle

Grade Level Collaboration Notes

Mr. Knipper and I have provided a shared google doc for you to put your grade level collaboration notes on. I have shared that link with all of you. All you have to do is input the information into the slide. You will have to make a copy of the slide for the following week. This will allow a convenient way for you to report your collaboration notes as well as give you access to ideas from Albion teachers and what they are collaborating about. This is just another tool to help us align both schools and grade levels and get ideas to help all of our students. You should have received an email or you can use this link to access the document.

Grand Parents Day

October 12th from 12:30-2:30 will be Grand Parents Day. Letters will be sent home this week. Science Central will be here and have activities for us. We will also have games set up in the middle of the gym. We will help work the tables with the games and with Science Central as needed. Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria. More info will come this week.

Pie Sales Kick Off

Pie Sales Kick off will be Monday starting at 2:00 in the gym. This is pretty much our only fundraiser and provides the means for us to do a lot of things for our staff and students. It will only take about 5-10 minutes.

Mrs. Fleetwood's Celebration Night

October 18th is the night for Mrs. Fleetwood to receive her award. If you are interested in celebrating this night with her please email me and let me know. I have to purchase the tickets by Wednesday. Our PTO is helping pick up part of the purchase price. Tickets will be $15 per person. I'd like to celebrate this night with as many people that can go. If we have enough people wanting to go we could car pool together, I can also get a white bus and drive everyone. Mr. Shepherd from West Noble Primary has extended an invitation to those of us that go, to go to Starbucks or somewhere like it afterwards and have a time to relax and talk. I think it will be a great time if you can make it!
