Different Types of Rocks
The earth contains many rocks. Most rocks are separated into three main types of rocks. These types of rocks are called Igneous, Metamorphic, Sedimentary.
Meatmorphic
These rocks are formed by heat and pressure beneath the suface of earth.
Igneous
These rocks are formed when magma cools and hardens.
Sedimentary
These rocks are formed over time in layers and stack up after long periods of time.
