Suwanee Express
Week of September 7th
4th and 5th grade, you're up! We are so excited to welcome back our 4th and 5th grade students on Wednesday. Thank you for prepping sooooo hard to create a great day for our students. I have watched as all of you maneuver new territory and challenges every day. I have beamed with pride as you have kept your "why" at the center of all you do. 2nd and 3rd had a flawless transition last week! Thank you! Our K-1st grade students are walking the halls like they've been here for years. :) Love it, and our Pre-K students are all smiles. Thank you for making our school shine and giving your all to each other and our students. Keep rooting for each other. There's no place and no people like SUWANEE!
Your Biggest Cheerleader,
Mary Taylor

Computer Cleaning/Sanitizing Guidelines
- Computers should be cleaned and sanitized before a student uses the device
- It is strongly recommended by manufacturers that any cleaning agent be applied by wipe\towel, not sprayed on then wiped off.
- The current recommended solution for cleaning and sanitizing computers is the Food Contact Sanitizer Quat. Quat is currently being provided to each classroom and should be applied using a wipe\paper towel and be disposed of immediately after cleaning is performed. Gloves are recommended if available but not required.
- Please make sure that the wipe\towel is not saturated and dripping the solution as this could create an electrical shortage of the device if the solution were to leak into its circuitry located under the keyboard.
- Computers should be cleaned and sanitized before a student uses the device. It is up to the local school to decide who administers the cleaning, student, teacher or staff.

Okapi Leveled Texts
We have received almost 100 digital leveled text titles from Okapi that are free for our use this school year. Each title has its own link, so teachers can easily share the texts with students for instruction, and students can also access these texts for independent practice. Many of these titles also include running record transcripts, which will be valuable for teachers’ formative assessment as they work with their students. Teachers should follow their local school process for text selection and sharing with students.

School Bus Safety Information
This year all bus safety information can be found in eCLASS. A widget has been created on the Safe Secure Successful Schools Communication Center. You can search for this page and find the widget located on the lower left corner. All materials for K-8, including video links, and activities can be found on that document.
Please email Jill Howard with the date that you completed the Bus Safety program with your class.
