In order to plan for our closure, we need EVERY parent to fill out this questionnaire ASAP! Thank you to those that have already completed it.

Monday and Tuesday

WE HAVE SCHOOL ON MONDAY - Late Start as always. Students will take home everything they need for the absence as well as personal items (lunch boxes, coats, etc.). If your child has essential medication at the school please contact Nurse Maggie.

NO VOLUNTEERS on Monday, we are trying to limit, as much as we can in a school, the number of additional people on campus.


If you haven’t taken the survey, please do so, it’s critical for us to able to plan for lunches and childcare for essential workers. As well as determine technology needs of families.

Dear Cougar Families,

First, we want to assure you that our staff will continue to have your child's best interest at the heart of everything they are doing.

Second, we will set up communication procedures this week to ensure you can get information that you need. Our goal is to keep you informed while at the same time ensuring staff have the time to prepare work for your children.

Please be patient and wait for a school/district wide communication about how this process is going to work. We have lots of questions coming in and staff don't have the answers yet, but they will this week. Also, lots of parents asking for things to do with their kids. We will create a webpage for parents find classroom, school, and district resources to ensure we have continuity across all classrooms. We have asked staff to focus on creating plans for the entire classroom rather than answering multiple emails about each individual student to ensure they can get the work done by the end of the week. In the meantime we have provided some resources at the bottom of this newsletter for you to use while waiting for teacher communication.

Third, we need your input in this process. We've created a way for you to check in and ask questions. We will then answer them through our FAQs below. This way we are consistent with our communication and we can eliminate multiple emails asking staff the same question.

Fourth, if you indicated on the survey that you do not have internet services or access to a computer, we will contact you this week to see what we can work out to help you during the closure. All technology websites will be put into a shared document and linked on our website for easy access.

Finally, we want to thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding. This is all new to us and while we are giving 200% of our time and effort to make sure it runs smoothly, we will have issues along the way.

School is extended until June 19th per OSPI. We will notify you if this information changes and we need to go to school longer. Also, we are closed at LEAST until April 27th, this will be updated as we get additional information.

Due to our closure, all events have been canceled until school resumes on April 27th.

April 2nd-3rd - Early Release for Spring Conferences - we will not have conferences at the school. We will develop a plan with teachers on how to address conferences.

April 6th - 10th Spring Break (no work provided for students).

May 22nd and June 15th - currently scheduled as 1/2 days.
