1/17/2021 Naquag News!
Hello Naquag Families,
We begin hybrid instruction this week! Our amazing teachers and support staff have once again adjusted to instructional change with dedication, grace and much care. Our classroom teachers will be sharing specific classroom schedules and additional information about the specifics of the school day.
Please keep in mind that this instructional model is new to us too! As we begin on Tuesday, I expect that even with our best intentions and hard work, there may be situations that will impact our schedules in “real time”. With the implementation of arrival / dismissal / lunch / recess, plus following our safety protocols with hand washing, mask breaks and following physical distancing of 6’, these things will be time consuming as we begin. As with all new things, it will take a bit of time to get used to, but then these protocols will become second nature. We appreciate your continued flexibility, patience and open-mindedness. We will move forward and continue to make progress. We are Naquag Strong!

Coronavirus Safety Guide January 2021
COVID - 19 INFORMATION:
Please take a moment to review the information regarding daily screening before school arrival, isolation, and quarantine guidelines. Following these guidelines is essential to maintaining a healthy school environment. It is important that students complete their isolation or quarantine periods before returning to school on January 19, 2021.
Please contact Nurse Amy if your child:
-Has tested positive for Covid -19 in the last 10 days.
-If any household members have tested positive in the last 10 days.
-Has been asked to isolate by a medical professional.
-Has been asked to quarantine by a medical professional.
-Travelled or plan to travel to any high risk state before January 19, 2021.
UPDATE ON FLU VACCINATION: The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has removed the requirement for flu vaccination for attendance in childcare/preschool, primary, secondary and post secondary education. Preliminary data show that this has been a mild flu season to date, presumably as people have received their seasonal flu vaccine and have been adhering to mask-wearing and social distancing due to COVID-19. Given the intensive Commonwealth-wide efforts regarding COVID-19 vaccination, DPH wants to alleviate the burden to obtain flu vaccination and focus on continuing our COVID -19 vaccination efforts.
