News and Notes From Mrs. Kapuchuck...
We had an INCREDIBLE first "full" week of school! Our students are doing a great job adjusting to being back in the building and our students learning virtually from home are logging in, engaging with their peers, and completing their assignments. While this is definitely not a "normal" year by any means, it is wonderful to see how everyone is working together to make this "new normal" work!
**Now that we are in the swing of things, our dismissal procedures are taking much less time! On Friday, all car riders had been dismissed by 3:05 pm. As a reminder, we start car rider dismissal this year at 2:50 pm. Please make sure that you arrive in the pick up line no later than 3:00 pm!
**Buses have adjusted to their new routes as well. Buses are arriving on time to pick up children as well as to drop them off in the afternoons. Please make sure that you or a designated adult is standing outside, on time, waiting to get your child off of the bus. Children will not be dropped off without a parent or guardian present. Thank you!
As we enter a new week, please know that our teachers and staff are working extremely hard to make in person and virtual learning as seamless as possible. We are all learning together. Thank you for your patience and grace as we all navigate a year like none we have ever experienced. Thank you so much for all of the support, encouragement, and positive emails you have sent regarding your child's learning experience so far.
As a reminder, children who are ill or experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms should not come to school. Symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever (100.4 or higher), chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell. Other symptoms may include fatigue, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you are not sure whether or not your child should come to school, please contact our school nurse, Lisa Jenkins. Thank you for prioritizing the health and safety of our students and staff.
Have a great weekend!
Leslie
