Message from the Principal
It was a delight to meet with families during conferences. Thank you for your partnership. If you were unable to meet with your child's teacher, please reach out to the teacher if they have not already done so to set up a meeting.
Families can still apply for the Camp Achieve summer program or the 5.5 program (incoming 6th graders). The application deadline is Thursday, May 11.
On behalf of our staff, THANK YOU so much for all the care and appreciation you showed last week to our staff! We loved all the thoughtful notes, hugs, and goodies. We believe in your children and truly love our work so the spoils are unexpected but greatly appreciated.
Today was the staff room remodel reveal--we are in awe of the support from all of you! To the PTO, students, and families--THANK YOU for creating and decorating a space for us to meet, connect, eat, and relax. It is so lovely!
To families of incoming kindergarten students, we look forward to seeing you at the Kinder Orientation on Thursday!
Sincerely,
Ms. Do

Library News from Ms. Larsen
Overdue Library Books
We have over 200 overdue library books. Please look around your home for any books with Oak Hills Barcode labels and have your child return them. Overdue library notices are sent out to student and parent emails at the end of each month. The emails contain important information. Please check your spam box to make sure you are getting the emails. If you would like to know what your child has checked out, follow the slide deck below to get into your child’s library account. If you have any questions, feel free to email Ms. Larsen. Thank you for your help and support!
OBOB
The OBOB Book List for 2024 is now out! Now is a good time to have your child read the book for enjoyment or read it together as a family or listen to an audio book as a family! Rereading the books this fall will help students prepare for battles next January.

Teacher Appreciation
A million THANK YOUS to everyone who brought snacks/supplies/cards, helped with flowers, supported Kona Ice, and helped with the staff room last week! A special thanks to Crystal Hirata who coordinated the appreciation activities and Kathryn Olsen who made the staff room update a reality! It was a teacher appreciation week to remember!
On The Move
We've made some adjustments and will be offering On The Move on Thursdays and Fridays starting this week during the lunch recesses from 10:30am - 1pm. For those who haven't done this before, On The Move is a program where students can elect to run laps during recess time to win prizes as they reach their running goals. We still need more volunteers and it is really fun! Please see the spreadsheet below for available shifts. Ideally we would like 2-3 volunteers on each shift.
