Semester Update

The end is in sight!

Personal Finance Update

The second 9 weeks is over halfway done and we have covered a lot of interesting topics in class! We have learned what influences what we purchase, why it influences us, as well as how to prevent the influences. Along with this, we covered the rights and wrongs when shopping. The latest lesson we went over was banking. Why should I have a bank account? Should I have a savings account or checking account? Or both? And which bank should I choose? We answered all these questions.

I wanted to share some resources we use to learn how to secure our financial future.

This first resource is a program that has provided free materials, such as booklets that cover each topic we cover as well as online activities.

Dave Ramsey has been helping people fix their finances for years. He is one of the best in his field and he also assists us in class with his dvd series.

I wanted you, the parents, to be aware of the final exam date. This will be a comprehensive exam and your student will have all the materials needed along with ample time to prepare.
We have adopted an Angel this year in all of my classes. We have received our angel's name as well as their wish list. If you would like to donate or help shop for some items you are more than welcome to. If you are unaware of the Angel Tree Program, click on the title above and it will take you to the website.

One Last Thing

As the semester winds down, our students start to get restless and ready for a break. We are almost there! Help them stay focused and finish strong!! I hope you all enjoy the holidays coming up with friends and family!
