Fall Scholastic Book Fair Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to help out at our Scholastic Book Fair from November 1st-November 9th! Use this link to sign up for your time to volunteer.
Tiger Talk Morning News
Our Tiger Talk Morning News program is off to a great start this school year! The morning news is broadcast every morning at TES and is an exciting opportunity for our 5th grade students to build community, practice their public speaking skills, learn behind-the scenes production skills and, most importantly, to have fun!
Students from Mrs. Rocheleau, Mrs. Holmstead and Mrs. Weed’s classrooms are on the morning news rotation for Trimester 1. Six different group of students will rotate throughout the trimester as our “on the air” news crew and will take turns as news anchors, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, informing students about the daily goings on at TES, wish students a Happy Birthday and share special announcements. Three groups of students will rotate as our behind the scenes “tech crew” by working our teleprompter and camera.
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Manganis, School Counselor for bringing our school community together each and every morning. (see pictures below)
Family Engagement Survey
Each year the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) asks parents from select school districts to participate in a survey to measure how well schools are promoting Family Engagement as a way to improve services and results for children with disabilities. It’s our district’s turn this year.
Families that have students receiving special education services are encouraged to complete the survey below. Your feedback is appreciated.

HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA - FRIDAY, 10/27
Please send in a canned good/non-perishable item or $1.00 donation for Adopt a Family.
This year, TES will provide the opportunity for students and staff to wear costumes on Friday, October 27th - Halloween! In order to make the day a success, we have developed a few guidelines.
Most importantly, all costumes must be school appropriate.
All students participating must come to school dressed in their costumes. Students should not bring makeup or hair products to school.
Basic Costume Don't's:
- Costumes may not have parts that interfere with learning. This means no masks or costumes that restrict movement or vision, or prevent sitting at desks. Costumes must not obstruct movement in the hallways.
- Costumes may not promote violence or have accessories or props that could be used as a weapon.
We are looking forward to everyone following the guidelines, coming up with creative costumes, and having fun!
Friendly Reminder: Please do not send food or candy into school.
Health Reminders
Allergy Information/Action Plans
Reminders were sent out to Parents/Guardians with Action Plan Forms. This information is needed returned as soon as possible. Without current updated Forms and Epi Pens students unfortunately would not be able to attend any upcoming Field Trips. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation -we are just waiting on a few more forms.
Physical Exams and Immunization Records:
Pre K and Kindergarten: Reminders were individually sent to Parents/Guardians for students whose information was still missing or incomplete. Please forward as soon as possible.
Fourth Grade Physicals: Just a reminder that a current Physical Exam copy is required for all fourth grade students’ thank you for those of you who have submitted copies. Individual reminders will go out next week.
Flu Vaccines: Just a reminder it is that time of year to plan on getting your student vaccinated for Influenza- the Flu. Vaccines are now available through your Primary Care Physicians.
Vision and Hearing Screenings: We will begin our annual Massachusetts DPH mandated screenings. They will take place during the months of October and November. You will be notified if your student has any difficulty.
CLOTHING CHANGES: Parents please make sure your student has an extra set of their own clothes (including underwear) in their lockers. This is a frequent dilemma in the health office for a number of reasons, spills, torn clothing, and bathroom accidents. It happens across the age groups and all grades Pre-K-grade 5!) It so much easier, quicker and less embarrassing for students to have their own clothes available.
