Schools Begin the Year Developing Digital Citizenship

Many DPS schools kicked off the new school year teaching and showing students how to safely and responsibly navigate the online world. Find out how they did it, and how your school can follow suit.

Check Out eBooks on LION

With thousands of Chromebooks in thousands of student hands, ETLS is proud to share our vast ebook collection! Hundreds and hundreds of audio books, read-alongs, and just regular ol’ books are available for checkout from our DPS Lion page (lion.dpsk12.org.)

Simply log in with your DPS credentials and start your quest (students use their student ID number and 10-digit birthdate). You can sort books by reading level, grade level, topic, subject, author, or availability. Before you “check it out,” check it out using the “sample” icon-- listen to a few minutes of the audio book or browse a few pages of an ebook. Take every learner on an amazing reading journey!

Schoology Corner

Now that you know how to log into Schoology as per the October 2017 edition of “Schoology Corner”, let’s learn how to join a Schoology Course and a Schoology Group! As a DPS teacher, you probably also want to know what your Schoology Sandbox Course is.
