Webster Testing and Mask Update

1/6/2022

Thank you for supporting a safe and healthy return to in-person learning. Today is our on-site testing day at Webster. Testing data is now being set up by school site. If you have not already re-registered your student(s) for testing in the last week, following is the

Registration link for Webster Elementary students: Student URL

Following a testing day, please check to see if you have received the results before coming to school in the morning. Many of the results are released in the middle of the night. This will avoid possible exposure of students and staff if a student tests positive for COVID19.

Please turn in updated student vaccination records to Ms. Mendez, our health clerk, at mendez.claudia@pusd.us. We have already been able to avoid quarantining some close contacts due to their updated vaccination status.

Masking Updates:

"Cloth face coverings alone are no longer acceptable, as they do not provide the same level of source control or personal protection as a proper surgical mask or higher level PPE."

For masking that provides the best protection against COVID-19, please see the following:

  • Double mask (surgical mask + cloth mask)
  • Fitted medical mask (surgical mask)
  • N95
  • KN95
  • KF95

(N95/KN95s are not recommended for small children because they cannot achieve a proper fit.)

Thank you for your patience at drop-off and pick-up. Please make sure to let your child and teacher know if you are changing the pick-up from drive-thru to walking gate or vice versa to avoid delays. Please remember that only staff and students may be on campus. No parents or caregivers may exit their car, park in the staff lot, or walk past the walking gate at drop-off or pick-up.

The health and safety of our students and staff remain the number one priority for PUSD.
