Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast
February 17, 2019
A Message from the Director
Parents and students,
Remember Collegiate Academy is in session on Monday, February 18. All students must attend school that day, except those on Optional Flexible School Day Program!
There has been many discussions recently on the state of education in our state and nation, especially regarding teachers. This past week three CA teachers took students to visit colleges, one teacher took students to an academic UIL contest, and one teacher stayed late doing TSI testing. Last weekend, one teacher took students to the Regional Destination Imagination Contest, and 3 other teachers coach soccer, basketball, and volleyball after school. I could go on and on with other events that our Collegiate Academy teachers spend their free time supporting our students. Collegiate Academy has the BEST teachers in the world. I encourage you, before spring break, to thank a teacher that has made a difference in your student's life or for the time they spend outside of the school day helping your student! It will be appreciated!
THANK YOU Collegiate Academy faculty for all you do for our students!
Together we will make a difference!
PhoenixON!

FAFSA & Final Aid Information:
Students, BEFORE you can apply for Federal Student Aid, the student AND the parent MUST have a FSA ID. Please request that now as it can take a few weeks to get your FSA ID. From the FAFSA Website (https://fafsa.ed.gov): It is very important that you and your parent create and use your own FSA IDs. The FSA ID acts as a legal signature and should not be shared. Letting someone else create your FSA ID is not allowed and can create problems and delays with your financial aid. For more information or to create your own FSA ID, go to StudentAid.gov/fsaid. If your parent does not have a Social Security Number, he or she will not be able to get an FSA ID through the online process. In that case your parent will print, sign, and mail in a paper signature page.
