What is Acceptable to Share on the Internet?

What do you use the Internet for?

Why do you use the Internet?

  • School Projects
  • Look-Up Directions
  • Shopping
  • Look-Up Information/Answer Questions (Celebrities, Movie Times, Sports, etc.)
  • Social Networking**

Social Networking

What are some examples of social networking?

  • Blogging
  • Facebook/Myspace
  • Instagram
  • Fan Pages
Social Networking allows you to communicate with friends through the Internet, rather than face-to-face. These different sites allow you to share interests, pictures, likes, thoughts, and chat with your friends. There is opportunity to get to know your friends better. This is also a great way to reconnect with friends/family that you may not get to see often in person because maybe they don't live close to you. There is also opportunity to meet people you may NOT know in person.

This is where you need to be smart!

It is very easy to be deceiving on the Internet!

Some other points for promise in your pledge can include:

  • proper creation of screen/usernames
