Friday Favorites

A few of my favorite things.

One of my favorite things is to share favorite things! This week I share a cool screen-sharing application, Pinterest, and a couple of my favorite apps for recording and sharing instructional videos. Happy Friday! is a web conference software that makes it super-duper easy to share your screen with others. The first time you use it, both participants will need to download the free application. It takes less than 30 seconds to set up! When you are ready to share your screen, just give the 9 digit code to the other person. They key it in and can instantly see your screen.

And guess what??? There's an app for that! Yep, look it up.

If you know me at all, you will NOT be surprised that I love Pinterest. Although I started pinning craft ideas, amazing cupcake recipes (that I will never bake), and hilarious eCards, it's become a fantastic place for finding, organizing, and sharing great educational ideas.

iPad Apps: Creating Instructional Videos

Flipped Classrooms are becoming more and more popular these days (stay tuned for a blog post soon!). I've been asked several times this year about an easy way to record and share an instructional video with students and parents. There are many options out there, but if you are lucky enough to have an iPad, ShowMe and ScreenChomp are two great solutions. These {free} apps allow you to "record it, sketch it, and share it." You can easily share your video with a unique URL, upload it to YouTube, or other online options.
