What is Digital Citizenship?

Digital Citizenship is when you are being kind on the internet. If you are not being a good Citizen then it will suck for you if it happens to you. If you are being a good citizen then you will be happy because it probably won't happen to you but if it does just leave for a while and do something else.

Why is it necessary for everyone to understand Digital Citizenship?

It is necessary for everyone to understand Digital Citizenship because then you and others can be saved from being sued, fined, or baned from a website. Then if some one is not doing Digital Citizenship they can get fined, sued, or baned. If this ever happens to you, you should not do what you did to get baned, sued, or fined.

7 Rules Digital Citizenship

1. Don't post anything you wouldn't say in real life.

2. Don't buy anything or download anything before you check look at the privacy policy. Try to find anything that can indicate any identity thieves, or spam that will happen in you email or on the desktop of you're computer

3. If you have a special event coming up and you use Facebook or anything like that. Then send it to you're best friends say what time and where.

4. When you get on a new website get used to it find out if anyone is mean on it then you can do more stuff on it because you are familiar with that website. Still be careful though cause people can join and be rude.

5. People are like bullies but they can get on the internet and do it to. If some one is being rude then delete that or report him or her and block them if there is that option.

6. If you copy and past you are plagiarizing. You can get an F on an assignment or get fined for money.

7. If something is copyrighted then people cant use it unless they have permission by you or the person who made it. If you take it then you can get sued.
