STEAM is a cross-curricular approach to learning is exciting because it stimulates the creative and investigative nature of young learners! In this session, teachers will experience STEAM through a hands-on example lesson. Teachers will examine how they can facilitate learning using STEAM principles by asking an open-ended question then allowing students to explore potential solutions using a variety of materials. Teachers will also see the benefit of having students work with partners or in groups to question, predict, explore, observe, investigate, create, and reflect.

Google Sites is a structured wiki and web page creation tool offered by Google. Creating a site is a great way to allow group work where multiple people can collaborate and share files or create an individual project.
Participants will learn how to use and integrate Google Sites into their classroom. Google Sites can be used in any content area. Participants will break into content area groups, create a google site to list ideas and resources of how it can be used to refer back to. (0.15 CEUs)

Using Green Screen in the classroom is easy, economical and appropriate for all grade levels and subject areas! Green Screen allows you to create a video using an image or video for your background. If your students are studying about the Pyramids of Egypt, they can create a video report with the Pyramids in the background. What about a weather report from the banks of the Nile River or on top of Mt. Everest? The possibilities are endless.
