Dear Parents and Carers,

What a fantastic week we have had at Balladen!

Each day has been full of smiles, singing and laughter!

I think you will agree that all of the christmas productions this week have been absolutely stunning.

Year 3 and 4 kicked us off with two amazing performances on Tuesday. They sang their hearts out and you could see so many feet tapping throughout their performance. Well done to all of the children and staff in Years 3 and 4!

On Wednesday Reception, Year 1 and year 2 told us all the story of 'The angel who got her wings'. There was not a seat available in the hall for the evening performance. It was a privilege for us to welcome our Mayor during the afternoon performance. He was very impressed with how many words and songs the children had learned. The children really did enjoy performing to all of us.

On Thursday we were fortunate to be entertained by 'Step into Christmas' by Years 5 and 6. Led by two excellent narrators the children entertained us all with their passion and their joy for singing. They really did raise the roof. There were laughs, smiles and a touch of sadness.

We are extremely proud of the amazing children who walk through our gates everyday. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for lending us your children everyday. They are a joy to spend time with and all of the adults who work at Balladen are very proud to be here. Thank you for your past, current and continued support.

Our incredible week ended with our Celebration Assembly. The learning never stops at Balladen. We also welcome some of our older community to our Christmas lunch. The food prepared by Esther was wonderful, as always, and our visitors really did enjoy listening to the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children sing some of their songs.

Please don't forget that we have our Christmas parties next week and that we finish school on Wednesday.

Have a wonderful holiday. I look forward to seeing all of those 2017 smiles!

With respect,

Mr Neil Ringrose
