November 9 Edition
Career Fest and Showcase 2018
Please mark your calendar for November 15, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. when Walker Career Center and Warren Central High School will be hosting their annual CAREERFEST. This is an outstanding event where students and families in the Warren community come together to meet with representatives from businesses, military branches, colleges, universities, and apprenticeship programs. We are encouraging all of our 8th graders to attend this event to help inform them about the many different programs at WCHS as they begin the high school scheduling process.

Fall Sports Update
The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams picked up two wins each this week. Both teams defeated Fall Creek Valley and Center Grove Central. They are both 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the MIIC Conference. They have a big week ahead as they play in the Brownsburg Tip Off Invitational this weekend, as well as conference games against New Augusta (at home on Tuesday) and Northview (on the road on Thursday).
Track pre-season conditioning will be on Tuesdays every week. It will be after school until 4:30 pm. Athletes staying for conditioning will be expected to ride the activity bus home on those nights. You must have a physical on file with Mr. Treesh if you are planning to stay for conditioning. Questions may be directed to Mr. Treesh, Athletic Director, or Mr. Peckham, track coach.
Wrestling practice will begin on Tuesday, November 27, after school until 5 pm. You must have a physical on file in order to practice. If you have any questions about wrestling, please speak with Coach Andy St. Laurent.
Girls basketball tryouts will be during the week of December 3. More information will be out as we get closer to that date.
