School Fees/Refunds
FEES:
Check the Parent Portal to see if your student has an outstanding balance due. Keep in mind there may be fees from a prior school year. You are able to pay all outstanding fees at one time with a credit card via the Portal. If you have any questions, please contact Shelly Schumacher at 970-833-7128 or shelly.schumacher@weldre4.org. Thank you for your help in making sure payments are cleared out before the school year ends.Refund for Spring for Activities, Events, or Athletics
SHS will be providing cash refunds for fees that were paid for activities, events, or athletics that were canceled this spring. As we review refunds that are due to individual families, we will first apply the refund to any outstanding student fees that have not yet been paid but are still due. If there is a balance, you will be notified that your refund is available for pick-up.
Cash refunds can be collected when students come to retrieve personal items at our school on May 19th. We will also notify you of other future opportunities for pickup. When picking up refunds, please bring a valid ID and wear a mask to protect yourself and our staff. Any fees that have not been collected by June 1, 2020 will be considered a donation and will be used by our school in the future to fund student activities. Please note that fee refunds cannot be “rolled-over” for future use at our school or any other school in our district.
Deadlines for Class Work & Grades
Deadlines for classroom work:
Any new work or assignments are due on May 15th. Any existing assignments or assignments in progress are due on May 20th. PLEASE, consider the level of quality in your work. Take your time on assignments. If you have questions on when something is due please reach out to your teacher.
Grades in Canvas:
Students, please remember that your second semester grade is based on two data points:
- your third quarter grade and
- the fourth quarter points earned through the choice board.
The "grade" you see in Canvas only represents the points you earned on the fourth quarter choice boards, NOT your overall semester grade. To calculate your second semester grade, add whatever points (one point=one percent) you've earned on your fourth quarter choice board to your third quarter grade.
Teachers will update your second semester grades in Infinite Campus by May 22. Reach out to individual teachers via email or their office hours if you have questions regarding your grades.
