Elementary Jam
The Seaholm Basketball Elementary Jam is back! We look forward to hosting elementary schools on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, which is also our Seaholm Teacher Appreciation Night. We are excited to have fans back to cheer on the Maples to victory! The first 200 elementary students will receive a rally towel, and we will have contests with prizes, including a best poster contest!

Referral Process
Please fill out this Counseling Referral Form if your student wants to set up a meeting to talk with me. Once I receive your referral, I will coordinate with the teacher to set up a meeting with your kiddo. You may also fill out the same referral form if you would like to meet with me directly.

· Grades 3rd-5th basketball and K-2nd basketball starting in March are full.
· There are still spaces available for Lucky Penny Sewing Class on February 16th. They will be making fleece hats. No experience necessary. Class id 17553
· iCode next session starts 3/3/2022. This class is for 3rd -5th graders. This class is Python and Drones. Learn the fundamentals of coding using the popular programming language "Python." Create simple projects and games using Python to build your coding skills. Pilot drones using your own Python code. Another class starts 4/28 -Digital Arts- for 2nd- 5th grade.
Girls on the Run is back and starts on Monday, April 4th. It will take place Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 5:15pm. For more information click here. Seaholm Varsity Coach/Berkshire Teacher Heather Gambone and Groves Varsity Coach/BCS Teacher: Madison Close are offering Sunday Volleyball Camps for students grades 1st-6th! GSRP Openings for this school year!
Immediate openings are available in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), located at Bingham Farms. GSRP is a grant-funded, full-day, free preschool program for children who were 4 years old by December 1, 2021. BEF Talent Show
Calling all singers, dancers, musicians & special talents! There is one week left for students and staff of BPS to submit a video showing off their talents to the BEF for the upcoming "BPS Stars of Tomorrow" event which will be broadcast on Thursday, March 10th at 7 pm. Winners will be awarded a $200 Visa gift card for themselves as well as a $1000 grant for their school. Entries are due Tuesday, February 22nd. Birmingham Youth Assistance (BYA) Nominations
Birmingham Youth Assistance seeks to honor any student in grades 6 through 12 who lives or is educated within the geographic boundaries of the Birmingham Public School district and has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service during the past twelve months. Students nominated for this program will be honored at a reception, receive commendations from national, state, and local government officials, and possibly receive a financial award. Students are responsible for following up with the nominator and ensuring that both forms are submitted by the deadline.
Birmingham Girls Softball – Registration Now Open!
Birmingham Girls Softball returns for its 23rd season! BGS is southeast Oakland County’s largest girls recreational softball league with over 300 players. Online registration is now open at www.birminghamsoftball.com. Birmingham Girls Softball is a community-based, non-profit organization providing girls ages 6 to 14 the opportunity to play organized recreational softball. The group is dedicated to teaching young ladies the fundamentals of softball.

BGS is open to all girls interested in playing softball for the first time and those with prior experience looking to build on and develop the skills needed to play the game for years to come. BPS Saturday School: 9 – 11 am
The BPS Saturday School is back again this year and running virtually throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The BPS Saturday School provides free tutoring for BPS students grades K – 12 who need help in any grade level and in any academic area. Our BPS staff that serve as coordinators and their National Honor Society volunteer tutors are looking forward to working with students in need of tutoring on Saturdays from 9 am – 11 am each week (see official dates below). All K-12 BPS students are welcome to receive this free tutoring opportunity for ALL subject areas.
