Reverend Reid drove home the point about POTENTIAL and moved the crowd and our students. Thanks you for the great advice and for challenging AHS graduates to finish strong.
I would also like to thank the TASD Board and Administration for your continued support and guidance.
Week Before Finals.......................
Can you believe we are about to end another school year? Each year seems to go faster and faster. We have made many improvements this year and I am excited about #AHSPOTENTIAL next year. Thanks for all the work you put in each day to make our students successful. I know everyone is tired but we need to finish strong and make these last 9 days fabulous. Please help monitor the hallways between passing periods and keep students in the classrooms. Please be mindful that students that are not engaged in the classroom tend to become discipline issues. #AHSSTUDENTENGAGEMENT

TEAM is just a fancy name for family at work. Thank you all for being such a caring family.
July 19-21 Project Based Learning (Freshman Academy Teachers)
July 27-28 New Teacher Orientation
August 4-11 AHS PD
We have been working very hard to create a master schedule that will help us have a pure Freshman Academy again and re-direct our needs with 9th and 10th grade taking the ACT Aspire. This schedule does include some changes and I know each one of you will embrace these changes and help us move forward with doing what is best for students and in moving AHS off the PRIORITY list. If you are teaching in the Freshman Academy next year you will be implementing Project Based Learning (PBL) in your classroom and will need to attend the three day training in July. There will be some trade days in August and throughout the year. We hope to have the master complete and ready to release soon.
Again thanks for all you do!
