Micro Elementary School Newsletter

Signs point that Micro is in for a Big Year!
It is time and we are ready! Monday morning is going to be the beginning of a special school year. Your classrooms look amazing! The hallways are shining and colorful. I believe in our team 100%. Thank you for all of your energy the past two weeks! Micro Elementary will do awesome things for kids this year!
Remember what we learned from Joe Sanfelipo (see his videos at the bottom of the newsletter):
"the most important thing that needs to be read in your classroom is YOU!"
"you are not just a teacher!¨
Monday will be epic!
Micro Elementary is the the small school where BIG things happen.....where everyone belongs!

Micro Headlines
If you do not have an assigned morning duty, please help out in the main hallway from 8:15-8:45.
We currently have a number of parents who've expressed concerns about the recent change in the attendance policy that reinstated a failing grade when students' absences exceed the 91% requirement. Please share that schools have the right to waive absences (see Policy 4120) for legitimate reasons.
Do not forget to join the Micro Elementary PTA! Our goal is for 100% of our staff to join.
Character Assembly Thursday at 2:30: Remember we will be on our Character Assembly/Club Schedule.
Please complete your self assessments in True North Logic by Friday. Beginning of year PDPś should be completed by September 13th.
JCPS teachers who want to explore the Digital Learning Competencies and get CEU's you might want to join the DLC Challenges! Sign up here to get notification of new challenges each month: Interest Form
You can find digital access to the math Investigations materials under your Rapid Identity log in.
