Beanstack Top 3 Readers for September! Congratulations to... 1st Place - Andrea Femath (2nd grade) with 708 minutes! 2nd Place - Carmella Rodriguez (5th grade) with 633 minutes! 3rd Place - Xoraya Zaqtan (5th grade) with 588 minutes! Each student received 3 books, bookmark, and a snack. | Free Books Donated by the SAISD Foundation Book Buddies! As a reward for being the class with the most logged minutes (4,204) for September, each student in Ms. Escapita's 5th grade class got to choose a book of interest to add to their home library. | Cozy up with a good book and some popcorn! Students also received a popcorn snack to munch on while reading. |

International Dot Day Celebration (Sept. 15) Students in K-5 read the picture book The Dot by Peter Reynolds. . Students were able to "Make Their Mark" by creating their own tie dye dots. | Kinder Read Aloud (Sept. 22) Kinder parents and teachers came together to discuss tips and strategies about helping Kinder students read. Each Kinder student received a bundle of bilingual fairy tales to add to their home libraries. | Library Volunteers Students from Jefferson HS assist in the library each week as part of their Work Based Learning. Volunteers include Ruby Reyes (IA-Spec Ed), Christopher Alvarez, Alexandra Montelongo, and Juan Espinoza. |
