LHS Activities Office Update

10/9/2020

Liberty Family,

As you all are aware, we are in strange times and fundraising is difficult. For example, crowd restrictions have decimated our concession stand sales, which is the largest fundraiser for our school. This impacts all of our programs including sports, extracurricular, co-curricular clubs/activities. Despite the lack of funds, our programs still have needs and wants to address. I want to help. I wanted to come up with something that has the potential to benefit all of us in some way, even if it might be small. Next weekend on, 10/17, I am going to set out to run 107 miles on the Ozark Trail and solicit sponsors (ROUTE posted here). We will take pictures, provide status updates, and document wherever signal will allow via social media. Among others, I will have Mr. Pryor, Dr. Kiesel, and Coach Glavin assisting me in this journey with aid and as a running partner. Our marketing students created a slogan, graphic design students came up with the flyer, and the Booster Club is helping me with promotion and money collection. This is truly a team effort! I have a lofty goal for this fundraiser of $10,000. Can you help? Please feel free to share this with anyone that you think would be willing to help whether it be via email, social media, etc.

Thank you in advance for your support in getting this fundraiser out to the community!
