End of the Year
Tuesday, May 31st
I can NOT believe this year has flown by so quickly. This group of kids will be my most memorable group. I want you all to know how much I appreciate and have loved spending the year with your kids. Thank you for trusting me with them and allowing them to become such a special part of my life.
This group of students and I went through one of the hardest things I have ever experienced and because of that we have grown closer than imagined. This was a year of ups and downs and I couldn’t imagine going through those with any other kids. They helped me heal. Josh will forever be part of our hearts and I encourage you to continue to talk about Josh and let them relive their memories. We never want to forget Josh and we always want to remember the life lessons he taught us.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of you and developing friendships. I appreciate your encouragement and support throughout the year. It truly takes a village and I was blessed to work with such amazing parents.
This is my last year at Old Pointe. The past 9 years have been amazing and I’m excited for my future endeavors. I will be starting a school of choice at Ebenezer Avenue in Rock Hill. It is a school of inquiry and I will be teaching 3rd grade. I am thrilled for what it will become. However, I will deeply miss seeing you and your 4th graders next year, but please know I’m just an email away. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to get updates and to hear from you. This summer, I will be around so please let me know if you’d like Elise and me to join you for ice cream or some pool time! : )
Thanks for everything, you have been a great blessing to me!
**Tomorrow we will have our End of the Year celebration. We will be having an ice cream party. I have asked several of you to send in toppings of the ice cream. If I haven’t contacted you, feel free to email me if you would like to send something in. Thanks so much!**
