What is Cinco de Mayo?
Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate the victory of Mexico over French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 when their army was out numbered two to one. This happened during the Franco-Mexican war 1861-1867. It is a holiday celebrated more in the United States than Mexico. In the U.S. this day is also used to celebrate Mexico's culture.
