Parent Update - Holiday Edition 2022
Next few weeks on the Hill:
Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
1/3 Tuesday - School Resumes in 2023! Our office will be closed for the duration of the break.
A Word from Your Friendly Neighborhood Principal. . .
Parents,
It was wonderful having countless parents in and out of RHES over the last few days. We are thankful for your support and presence. The staff also enjoyed the cookie exchange and we all went home with a box of cookies to share with our families. Thank you to all who contributed cookies.
I had a wonderful time restarting my "Holiday Sing-Along with the Principal" this year. Mrs. Denney and Mr. Baber joined me in leading the students through 45 minutes of singing. Songs like "Walkin in a Winter Wonderland" "Frosty the Snowman" "Joy to the World" "Hanukah oh Hanukah" "Kwanza Celebration" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" to name a few. Children shared many of their holiday traditions with their classmates. Our RHES Winter Sing-Along today was also filled with laughter and singing!
As we look to 2023 I want to share how fortunate I am to serve the Round Hill community. Our partnership truly makes this place special!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Andrew Davis - Principal
Giving Tree - THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who donated to the RHES Giving Tree. Special thank you to Jenn Langdorf and Girl Scouts Troop 70137 for creating winter stockings for each family and for helping to sort and bundle all the gift packages; the Bluemont Citizens Association for adopting two families; Plum Grove Cyclery and the Eanes family for the donation of a bicycle and helmet; Somphane Jones for the totes for the gift delivery; Beth Herbert for the generous donation of gift cards; the Round Hill PTO for filling in the gift gaps; and the Round Hill Womens' Group for their financial support. We are very grateful for the support of all of our RHES families and could not provide holiday assistance without our school community.
