Dear Families,

I'm happy to report that we are on a three-week streak of no positive cases with our pool testing! Please remember to visit our PTA online Auction this weekend at bid.meadowheights.org. There are some amazing items to bid on and raise funds for our school. Although small, we are incredibly mighty at Meadow Heights. Thank you for your continued support!

Intervention Conferences March 22 & 24 Minimum Days

March 22nd and 24th will be minimum days for all students. Teachers will not be meeting with all families. The spring conferences are for students who are currently below grade level and need to discuss interventions with their child's teacher.

California School Parent Survey

Parents/Guardians: We want to know your thoughts about how our school is -

  • supporting your child’s learning and development

  • creating a safe and supportive environment

  • welcoming and involving parents in the community

Please let us know by taking our school-specific California School Parent Survey. Your answers will be anonymous and will help us in our efforts to support all students to achieve their full academic, social and emotional potential.

Take the Parent Survey Link or if you need help to access the survey, please stop by the school office.

Dictionaries for 3rd Grade

Rotary International is an international service organization that brings together business, professional, and community leaders in order to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance goodwill, peace, and understanding in the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization. Our local Rotary club's members donated dictionaries to all our third grade students. In an outdoor assembly led by former Superintendent Dr. Joan Rosas, students were excited and giggling as the Rotary Club taught them how to look up words in their new dictionaries.

Superintendent's Warm Demands

The District has launched two programs for students to access with their parent(s) or guardian(s) as a warm demand. The concept of a warm demand refers to a mindset that is based on believing in children, establishing high expectations for them, and offering the necessary support to ensure their growth. Given this concept, ST Math (Spatial-Temporal Math) is available for all students in K-8. The District has also introduced a new early literacy program called Footsteps2Brilliance (F2B), primarily focused on students in Pre K-3rd. Be sure to check out these two program offerings:

Kindness and Empathy

Kindness is the quality of being thoughtful, friendly, generous, and considerate; considering the needs of others.

Empathy is considering how you would feel in someone else's situation; taking time to imagine the feelings, thoughts, and attitudes of another.
