A Growth mindset

I am for a growth mindset because, having a growth mindset can help you get better grades in school by having a positive outlook on the world. This can help many people in schools by helping people set goals for the people who struggle in certain subjects this way people can set goals to help them improve in life. This way you will be able to persevere through all the challenges that life offers.

Growth-Mindsets & Learning

Having a growth mindset can help you get better grades in school by having a positive outlook on the world you will be better off Carol Dweck has stated that the people that have a fixed mindset will think that they will not want to challenge themselves because they might think that they lack intelligence. In a study 7th graders were tracked for two years, students with a growth mindset (those who thought they could change their intelligence) increased their grades over time, while those with a fixed mindset (those who thought they could not change their intelligence) did not. It is also said that those with a growth mindset have a different perspective on learning. Instead of saying that you are not artistic or a math person people with a growth mindset will try to develop the intelligence to achieve their goals in live. This can help many people in schools by helping people set goals for the people who struggle in certain subjects like math, science, language arts and social studies this way people can set goals to help them improve in life. This way you will be able to persevere through all the challenges that life will have to offers.

Critics Of A Growth Mindset

Others like( Alfie kohn) may say that a growth mindset is a unnecessary concept like because the importance of mindset distracts us from other important things that deserve attention such as: What do people/children need to learn? Alfie Kohn says that how children and people perceive their abilities and that it is always showing how motivated for their achievement. The types of achievement Alfie Kohn is talking about things like grades and things that deal with school and with real life jobs. Alfie Kohn is saying that mindsets can distracts us as people from reaching our true goals, as people and students of learning, Research has shown that the kids typically end up less interested in whatever they were rewarded or praised for doing because now their goal is just to get the reward and or praise that would be given to them.
